Q. What are freestanding bath taps?
A. A freestanding bath tap or taps are primarily designed to be used with freestanding and roll top baths. They are installed separately to your bath and will not be connected in anyway, they will be installed close to your bath so that the filler or spout overhangs your bath edge to enable you to fill your bath.
Q. Why should I choose a freestanding bath tap?
A. Freestanding bath taps are a great focal point in the bathroom and beautifully complement elegant bath tubs. Ideal if you have a contemporary freestanding bath, or a more regal traditional rol top bath, freestanding taps will be the perfect companion.
Q. What style should I go for?
A. Here is where you will need to decide what is best for your bathroom and what you really like. You have the fill option to consider, spout or filler? You have square and round to choose from as well as some more unusual shapes, or you have the stunning traditional design to choose perfect for roll top baths. You really need to consider the shape and size of the bath the tap is meant for when choosing, and what your requirements are. For a gorgeous, big contemporary style bath you will probably want to go for a tap which has a waterfall spout. You will also need to decide if you want the additional feature of a shower attachment, and whether you require manual taps or thermostatic. Always seek advise from your installer before deciding and purchasing, as what you love may not be possible in your situation.
Q. Will I need anything else to go with my freestanding tap or taps?
A. Additional items that you may need with a freestanding tap are things such as the shower attachment which is not always included, or additional fittings and fixtures. If you are unsure at all check the advert and discuss with your installer.
Q. Are freestanding bath taps suitable for use in a cloakroom bathroom?
A. We would usually advise no on items such as this. To be classed as a small or cloakroom bathroom means that you would not have room fro a bath meaning that you would then have no requirement for freestanding bath taps.
