Hinged Shower Enclosures

A hinged shower enclosure will combine a hinged door in your chosen size with a side panel to complete the enclosure. This will need fitting to two walls. Some of these enclosures will come complete with a shower tray, making choosing compatible items even easier and hassle free.

Q. What are hinged shower enclosures?
A. Hinged shower enclosures are those featuring a hinged shower door and side panel, sometimes with a tray. A hinged door is just as it sounds, a shower door that opens outwards, on hinges. They can be square or rectangular.
Q. Why should I choose a hinged shower enclosure?
A. Hinged shower enclosures are good for smaller sized bathrooms, and the frameless designs can create a stunning minimalistic look. Just remember that you will need enough space to open the door into.
Q. What style should I go for?
A. The style will be hinged but you then need to look at the different frames available, with or without a tray, glass thickness (the thicker the better), brand, budget and guarantee are all things you will need to consider.
Q. Will I need anything else to go with my hinged shower enclosure?
A. If you are wanting a tray then you need to specifically look for enclosures with tray, as many will be the glass only. Or you can purchase the tray separately.
Q. Are hinged shower enclosures suitable for use in a cloakroom bathroom?
A. As cloakroom bathrooms will be too small to install a shower enclosure into we would not normally recommend this.
