1 Way Concealed

A one way shower valve means that the valve will run one outlet, for example an overhead shower or a bath filler. It will have an on-off and temperature control. These may be referred to as twin valves this means it will have two handles, there are other options which include just one handle to control flow and temperature. A concealed shower valve has all its working parts behind the wall. Speak to your installer to see what is available for your install.

Q. What is a 1 way concealed shower valve?
A. A 1 way concealed shower valve is a valve which will be concealed within the wall, with all pipework hidden, and will control one outlet. You will have two handles, one for on/off and one to control the temperature.
Q. Why should I choose a 1 way concealed shower valve?
A. Concealed shower valves create a very neat and clean look in your bathroom, and a 1 way concealed will control one outlet, perfect for a large shower head being used singularly, or for a bath filler where there will be no shower fitted. There is a large range of 1 way concealed shower valves to choose from, from traditional to modern, round to square, budget to branded, so there really is something for everyone.
Q. What style should I go for?
A. This will be completely dependent upon the style of the current items in your bathroom, or the look that you are hoping to achieve. For example, if you are hoping to create a beautiful traditional feel then you won't be choosing a sleek contemporary design. There is no right or wrong, this is completely down to personal preference.
Q. What things should I consider before purchasing a 1 way concealed shower valve?
A. There are a couple of things to consider before deciding on a 1 way concealed shower valve. You need to make sure that it is only a 1 way that you need, and you are only wanting to control one outlet (ie bath filler). You also need to ensure that this valve can be installed in your bathroom, as you will need a minimum recess (void in the wall) for the shower to fit so that all working parts can be accessed in the future. The installer will also need to be able to run pipework to the valve, for some bathrooms this won't be possible, so check before deciding and purchasing.
Q. What other items might I need to go with my 1 way concealed shower valve?
A. As this is just the shower valve, you will need the outlet as well, for example, a bath filler or a shower head and arm. You will also need fittings and fixtures as these will not be supplied.
