3 Way Concealed

A three way shower valve will control three outlets for example an over head shower, a side shower and a bath filler. These valves will allow you to run two of the three or all three outlets together depending on the manufacturer, each outlet will also be able to be run independently. These valves will sometimes be called a triple valve. You will have a choice of handles and designs, each concealed valve will have minimum recess and pressure requirements so speak to your plumber to see what is suitable for your install.

Q. What is a 3 way concealed shower valve?
A. A 3 way concealed shower valve is a valve which will be concealed within the wall, with all pipework hidden, and will control three outlets. You will have three handles, one to control the temperature, one handle which will be the on/off for two outlets and has a built in diverter (clockwise turns one outlet on, anti-clockwise turns the other outlet on (12 o'clock position will be off for both), and a third handle which will control the on/off for a single outlet
Q. Why should I choose a 3 way concealed shower valve?
A. Concealed shower valves create a very neat and clean look in your bathroom, and a 3 way concealed will control three outlets, perfect for a large shower head along with a bath filler and side shower for example. There is a large range of 3 way concealed shower valves to choose from, from traditional to modern, round to square, budget to branded, so there really is something for everyone.
Q. What style should I go for?
A. This will be completely dependent upon the style of the current items in your bathroom, or the look that you are hoping to achieve. For example, if you are hoping to create a beautiful traditional feel then you won't be choosing a sleek contemporary design. There is no right or wrong, this is completely down to personal preference.
Q. What things should I consider before purchasing a 3 way concealed shower valve?
A. There are a couple of things to consider before deciding on a 3 way concealed shower valve. You need to make sure that it is a 3 way that you need, and you are wanting to control three outlets (ie bath filler, large shower head, side shower). You also need to ensure that this valve can be installed in your bathroom, as you will need a minimum recess (void in the wall) for the shower to fit so that all working parts can be accessed in the future. The installer will also need to be able to run pipework to the valve, for some bathrooms this won't be possible, so check before deciding and purchasing.
Q. What other items might I need to go with my 3 way concealed shower valve?
A. As this is just the shower valve, you will need the outlets as well, for example, a bath filler, shower head and arm, and side shower, or massage jets. You will also need fittings and fixtures as these will not be supplied.
