Q. What is a rectangular shower tray?
A. Just as it sounds, a rectangular shower tray is rectangular shaped with two longer side and two shorter sides.
Q. Why should I choose a rectagular shower tray?
A. Rectangular shower trays are very versatile as they allow you to choose any kind of screen, door or enclosure that you want, be that walk in, hinged, pivot, sliding, bifold etc. Unless you are going for a specific shape such as offset quadrant or quadrant, then rectangular shower trays are probably what you are going to choose.
Q. What style should I go for?
A. The style will be rectangular, however you can choose from a wide range of brands, sizes, finishes and materials. Bear in mind that some of the more specialist trays, for example those with anti slip finish or the coloured shower trays will more than likely be special order which means once the order is confirmed you cannot cancel the order, and that the lead time for delivery of these items will be significantly greater than a standard tray. for a special order you should expect a minimum of a four week lead time.
Q. Will I need anything else to go with my rectangular shower tray?
A. You may need to purchase a waste separately as not all trays will come with this, you may also need a riser kit to raise the tray up (speak to your installer about whether you would require one of these), and if you would like to install an enclosure onto your tray then please see the enclosures.
Q. Are rectangular shower trays suitable for use in a cloakroom bathroom?
A. As cloakroom bathrooms will be too small to install a shower enclosure into we would not normally recommend this.
